During lockdown I started on what turned out to be a series of films using archive footage and AI voices and characters. They proved to be surprisingly popular
See them all HERE.
I’ve worked extensively with artists and musicians, including Rita Says and the Jerico orchestra, Iranian composer Amir Tafreshipour and Peter Wiegold and the Third Orchestra among many others
You can see examples of this work on the music showreel on the right.
I co-produced and co-edited this feature documentary about how the US government created a myth that took over the world.

teleSUR is a pan-South American TV channel for which activist, writer and producer Tariq Ali produces a weekly one hour programme. Between 2015 & 2017 I made 15 short films for its arts slot, Rear Window, including two on cinema and propaganda and one on Jean-Luc Godard and features on contemporary artists including Thomas Hirschhorn, Peter Kennard and Red Saunders. Also two programmes about La Zad, the anarchist community in Brittany, made with Kypros Kyprianou.
You can see more of them here.
metamedia productions ran from 1994 to 2005. It was set up by myself and artist/curator/director Mike Stubbs to make arts-based film and video productions and ran a digital edit suite in Berwick Street, Soho. You can watch our six films here.
Other films I made that don’t quite fit into other categories. A series of structuralist films featuring my window blind filmed during lockdown. A two-handed satire about Brexit. A series of animations about my attempt to get a literary agent. Christmas cards. Have a look.
