On September 9th 2010 at The Oxford, Kentish Town, we held an evening of film, poetry and music in honour of the spirit of the beat movement. It featured the New Orleans wayward hobo tango-rock of The Dakota Jim Band, live poetry performance from Dan Holloway, Halley Bopp and Roland Denning accompanied by John Brown on double-bass and rare beat and classic juvenile delinquent exploitation film clips including a complete screening of Jack Arnold's HIgh School Confidential. This was followed by a similar event at Toynbee Studios on December 9th.
Nice review of the Kentish Town gig here in the Spectator’s art blog.
